Structured survey process
The process of recording the survey is structured to guide
the user from beginning to end. Input screens are designed
to act as aide memoirs to ensure that surveyors consider all
aspects of a building when completing a survey.
Easy to
use input screens
Each screen is designed to be used easily on site. Maximum
use is made of touch sensitive screens and drop down lists.
This means that a survey can be recorded quickly and
consistently.
Use of user-defined automated comments reduce the need for note taking on site and improve consistency between different surveyors.
Sample
number generation and tracking
Where surveying and sampling take place at the same time the
management of sample numbers can be very difficult
especially where more than one surveyor is working on the
same project. AIMS CE allocates sample numbers which are
unique and imported directly to the main asbestos management
system.
Full
material and priority assessment system
A
detailed material and priority assessment algorithm based on
MDHS 100 is included. This allows risk assessments to be
completed quickly during the survey.
Fully
compatible with other AIMS products
The
data recorders are designed to operate with any other Modus
AIMS product. This allows data gathered during a survey to
be uploaded instantly to the management system.
Complete building register
The building register contained within the main database can be
downloaded to the hand held device to allow surveyors to
enter information against rooms quickly and easily.
Alternatively room identification numbers can be allocated
during the survey.
Re-inspection management process
Where re-inspections are required details of the exact
location of the hazard to be examined can be downloaded to
the data recorder for use on site. All re-inspection details
are recorded against the correct hazard.
Low
cost hardware
Personal digital assistants have a lower purchase cost than
traditional hand held data collectors.
