The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations have changed. Following a lengthy consultation period it has been decided that the regulations will be changed to simplify them and make them easier to understand and apply.
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 have been combined with the Construction (Health Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 as it was considered that there was considerable overlap between the two sets of regulations.
The regulations passed into law in early 2007 and are now being enforced by the HSE.
